Privacy Policy

NU Development LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website nudevelopment.me and our related games and applications (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and the choices you have.

In short: We do not run our own servers or user accounts, and your game progress and settings are stored only on your device. Some of our games — such as NuWords — display ads and offer optional leaderboards, and the third parties that provide those features may collect certain data as described below.

Information we collect

Information you provide. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
On-device data. Game progress, high scores, and settings are stored locally on your device. Because we operate no backend servers, we cannot access this data, and it is removed when you delete the app.
Usage and diagnostics. We (and the platforms we use) may collect basic technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, and crash diagnostics to fix bugs and improve the Services.

Advertising (ad-supported apps such as NuWords)

Some of our apps display ads using Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect and process:

Advertising and device identifiers (including the iOS Identifier for Advertisers / IDFA, where permitted);
IP address and approximate (coarse) location derived from it;
Ad interaction data (which ads were shown, viewed, or tapped); and
Device and diagnostic information.

This data is used to deliver ads — including personalized ads where you consent — to measure ad performance, and to prevent fraud and invalid activity. Google’s handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Game Center (games with leaderboards)

If you use leaderboards, Apple’s Game Center associates your scores with your Game Center player identifier and alias. This feature is provided by Apple and governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. If you do not sign in to Game Center, no scores are submitted.

Purchases

In-app purchases (such as the “Remove Ads” option in NuWords) are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment; we receive only aggregated, non-identifying sales information, never your payment card or billing details.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

Before any tracking across other companies’ apps and websites for personalized advertising, our ad-supported apps present Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.
Where required, we also present a consent request (Google UMP / GDPR) for ad personalization.
If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized (contextual) rather than tailored to you.
You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and reset your advertising identifier there.

How we use information

We use the information collected to: provide, maintain, and improve the Services; display and measure advertising; prevent fraud and invalid ad traffic; provide optional Game Center leaderboards; process purchases you request; respond to support requests; and comply with legal obligations.

Legal bases (EEA / UK)

Where the GDPR/UK GDPR applies, our legal bases are consent (for personalized ads and associated tracking, which you can withdraw at any time), legitimate interests (for non-personalized ads, security, and fraud prevention), and performance of a contract (to provide purchases you request).

Third-party services

Our Services rely on third-party platforms — principally Apple (App Store, Game Center, in-app purchases) and Google (AdMob advertising) — that process limited data as described above. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies, linked above.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. For advertising data collected by Google, please use the Google controls and iOS tracking settings above; for Game Center, see Apple’s policy; for anything else, contact us at matt@nudevelopment.me and we will respond consistent with applicable law.

California privacy (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell personal information for monetary value. The use of advertising identifiers by our ad partners for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered “sharing” under California law. You can opt out by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt and/or disabling tracking in iOS Settings. California residents may also contact us at matt@nudevelopment.me to exercise their rights.

Children’s privacy

Our Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising is configured with a maximum content rating appropriate for a general audience.

Data retention & international transfers

On-device data remains until you delete the app. Data collected by third parties (Apple, Google) is retained according to their respective policies, and may be processed in countries other than yours, including the United States, under the safeguards described in those policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
